Since those times its form evolved and instead of a plain roll with the cutlet from the minced beef with a slice of cheese and vegetables, we can get it in hundreds if not thousands of varieties and forms. Six of such varieties are available to taste during the Festival of Burgers which takes place in 5 Starwood Hotels: in Sheratonie in Warsaw, Cracow and Poznań (SomePlace Else restaurants), in Sopot (512 Bar & Lounge) and in the Warsaw Westin Hotel (JP’s Bar). In menu one could find Romano – burger with Angus beef with the arugula, Grana Padano cheese, baked pepper and caramelized onion; Highlander – a burger with the Polish seasoned beef, smoked bacon, smoked ewe’s milk cheese made in the Tatra Mountains and the Tartar sauce; Mandarin – with the beef and the duck, with the carrot marinated with the ginger and the oriental sauce plum; Zealander – a beef burger with lamb, baked pepper, cream cheese with the cucumber, the garlic and the dill; Strong Man – double burger: beef meet, confit from cow cheeks, the mayonnaise BBQ sauce. During the festival an appropriate kind of whiskey is selected for each of a burgers: Jack Daniel’s Old yeah 7, Gentleman Jack Rare Whiskey Tennessee or Jack Daniel’s Honey Tennessee. In this composition and in this company a typical fastfood dish turns out to be the surprisingly tasteful and noble meal.
