Kitchen Politics in the New Theatre

The inspiration are culinary rituals and artistic practices, in which the artists treat the food and kitchen customs as a material. It’s all about crossing the boundaries between art and everyday life. One can recall “Manifesto of Futurist Cooking” by Marinetti, an activity of the restaurant “Food” by Gordon of Matt Clark, a culinary practice of Joseph Beuys and performances of Rirkrita Tiravaniji from the relational aesthetics trend. We assume that the joint participation in that kind of event will serve the extension of artistic and social commitment and deepening the political awareness. There will arise a space for reflection concerning connections of art, politics and everyday life, a shared space, new forms of political commitment and  multicultural diversity.
Location: Nowy Teatr
