Our readers won’t find here traditional dumplings and sauerkraut. But there will be hulled barley with cider or bread soup with chanterelle and roasted buckwheat. This is the task of this book: to show Poland as a country of modern culinary ideas, which uses creatively unique Polish ingredients and traditional Polish ways of cooking. Unusual dishes from unusual products from an unusual country. Young chefs and culinary experts cooperating with USTA created recipes for the book. Witold Iwański, Eliza Morawska, Michał Gniłka, Marysia Przybyszewska, Grzegorz Łapanowski, Tomasz Trąbski each of the chefs talks about Polish cuisine from his perspective, presenting homemade, restaurant, vegan, vegetarian and meat meals. Modern, ambitious cuisine that takes the best without complexes from the Polish tradition. Journalists and designers from the USTA Magazine complement the chefs team. Magdalena KasprzykChevriaux and Małgosia Minta wrote chapters about Polish products, and Katarzyna Bogdańska illustrated those chapters. The author of the graphic design is Magdalena Brewer. The unique, handmade ceramics for a photo shoot was provided by Barbara Turkiewicz. We did our best to make the book beautiful, interesting and innovative. It shows changes that occurred in recent years in our country. The album will be available in Polish, English and Italian
only at Expo 2015 in Milan.
Electronic version of the book is available for download at www.expo.gov.pl.
