UAU is a young design group. Justyna and Miłosz live and work in Warsaw. They say about themselves that they have an environmentally responsible design approach and like to use natural materials. This is confirmed by their latest project “Kumple z korka” (“Cork mates”) – toys made from wine corks and a two-piece set produced on a 3D printer. Material from which they are made, is 100 percent biodegradable bio plastic. Note, on UAU page you can download two of these projects for free and print them yourself. Of course if you have a 3D printer. If not, contact UAU. One set of printed animals costs 80 zlotys, with corks.
Another of their project is Good Herring. – This project is supposed to be a joke, herring shaped dish for herrings. Of course you can eat from it whatever you want – say designers. – But in Poland herring is of particular importance, which is why we decided to make a dish for it. The dish is a glazed pottery, it costs 100 zł. It is 26 cm long and 7 cm wide. There are 70 copies. Next edition of herring dishes will be decorated differently.
