Their dinners quickly earned them fans, so the girls started to look for a location. “Originally the concept came from the feeling that this is something we will be happy doing – this intimate, personal dining experience, present in many countries around the world, which has somehow been running dry in New York recently”. They decided to make things happen themselves. And until today they have not employed anyone to help. Elise takes care about the food and Anna cares about the guest – the restaurant can host up to 14 of them. They do all themselves – shopping, taking reservations, serving dishes, opening the wine, preparing playlist of the music that plays in the restaurant. In the morning, while Elise is busy preparing the dinner, Anne runs yoga classes in the restaurant’s space – in the end we are in Brooklyn. “Of course, we did consider hiring someone but in the end, none of us wanted to. What we do is very intimate”.
