Cuckoo’s Nest

  Another sweet spot on the map of Warsaw. The cuckoo built its nest in Mokotowska 52. The people behind the new pastry shop Kukułka are Dominika Krzemińska, owner of the next-door restaurant Przegryz, privately a keen ornithologist, and owners of the nearby Ale Wino restaurant.

Pastries served at Kukułka include both traditional sweet rolls, brioches, meringue tortes, wuzetkas (Polish chocolate cream cakes), honey cakes, as well as beautiful cheese paskha decorated with rose petals, choux pastries, chocolate and fruit tarts. You can have them all inside, at the small tables on the ground floor or above on the mezzanine. They will go well with good filter coffee – served hot or with ice. For the really hungry ones there is also a breakfast offer, served inside underneath cuckoo’s wings hanging from the ceiling.The interior design was created by Anna Łoskiewicz (Beza Design).
