There are four: two of them are twin brothers. GODny – wheat and rye bread with rye sourdough, Luj the first and Luj the second- 100% rye sourdough brothers. First with the addition of sunflower seeds, cranberries and sesame and the other with linseed, pumpkin and sunflower seeds. The youngest and most spoiled is Czeslaw – wholegrain spelt flour with rye sourdough.
Sourdough without industrial yeast was made by Zbroja and Maciej when they still lived in Ireland. There, in a home oven they baked their first loaves of bread. Then they returned to Poland, to Poznan and more specifically to Wilda. And even more specifically to the old Fachwerk house on Wierzbięcice Street. Before in this place there was the cafe pub Domino where you could watch a football game or eat a chicken leg.
In Poznan people complain about the “Luj”. According to Poznan dialect “Luj” is a type of a shady thug. In addition to complaining about the price and (again) the lack of buns, rolls and baguettes in his company. Despite that the bread disappears from shelves very quickly, already before 2 p.m. and people from Wilda refer to it with increasing confidence.
Maciej’s and Zbroja’s plan is to use the space in front of the premise. There will be tables so you can drink coffee, read magazines and eat a slice of bread.
