What is Thisispaper Shop & Tea Room?
It is our shop which is a part of our workshop and design studio. We really wanted to bring all our activities together in one place. Behind this wall we design and produce our bags and backpacks and in the shop we receive our friends. You can try on our bags, drink Japanese tea, taste our ”treats’ and buy house plants and Polish books. Everyone should be able to find something for themselves in here.
How did you come up with the idea of this place?
The idea, or rather ideas, have been maturing for a long time. We have been in here for a year now but we opened the shop only last month. It took us some time to redecorate and design the space. From the very beginning we knew that we wanted the shop to have an additional function. In the meantime, we went on a trip to Japan, a country that we have always found close to our hearts in terms of aesthetics. It was only while in Japan that our vision of what exactly our shop should be like took a form. And now it is a place where we can also give something from ourselves.
Why did you go for teas?
We have always been drinking teas but it was in Japan that we tasted a truly good tea. We also became obsessed with Japanese sweets and desserts with matcha.
We especially liked a tea from Fukuoka prefecture, cultivated in a traditional way in the mountainous areas of Kyushu island by a small family company (father and son). It comes from organic farming where no chemicals are used, the soil is taken care of and the leaves are picked solely by hands. Thanks to the experience, adequate sensibility and attention of the owners to every process, you can easily find the desired umami taste. We have all types of teas they currently produce in our offer. You can try them or buy them together with our hand-made green pralines and matcha tiramisu.

A truly remarkable place has opened recently in Poznań. Happa to mame cafe in the district of Jeżyce is wonderfully spacious yet minimalistic. It would be hard no find another place so thoroughly
