Turkish breakfast

And what if I cannot go? Then I search through uncle Google to find new inspirational flavours. And these virtual journeys I want to share with you. I went for my dear breakfasts as they make the days joyful and effective. Sometimes to a classic breakfast I am adding something from myself or adjusting the recipe to our local conditions , but I try to remain faithful to the originals! Dzień dobry! Good morning! Buenos dias! お早う! доброе утро ! Bom dia! Goeie môre!

Çılbır

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup of full fat Balkan or Greek yoghurt
  • 1 cloves garlic
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon curcuma
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot paprika
  • salt
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • sambal

1. Crush garlic cloves in a mortar with salt and add to the yoghurt. Set aside.
2. Melt butter in a pot, add spices, heat up but do not simmer. Leave in a warm place.
3. Time for the eggs now! Add vinegar and salt to water and bring it to boil. When it stars boiling, lower the heat and stir the water with beater creating a whirlpool. Break one egg into it and then break another making sure that they do not stick to each other. Boil for 3 minutes. Carefully take them out (so that they don’t fall apart!) onto a plate lined with paper towel to drain.
4. Pour two tablespoons of the melted butter onto a plate, add the yoghurt and top with an egg and a teaspoon of sambal. Drizzle with melted butter and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
