A year ago we witnessed the spectacular success of the Polish Institute in Tel Aviv. The institute organized the Festival when President Bronisław Komorowski was visiting Israel. At that time crowds of people were storming restaurants which were serving Polish cuisine and hosting Polish chefs, there was also a forming queue just to hear the Polish Culinary Alphabet. Now it’s time for the second edition. Organizers decided to ‘appoint’ bread as the main festival’s theme and as an object of revealing memories. By the way, one has an opportunity to try the forgotten recipes. This will be conducted by Erez Komarovsky, the Bogdanowicz family and many Israeli pastry cooks and of bakers. The bread’s installation will be the leading ‘bread happening’ during the festival. However bread will not be the only star at the festival. During the second Polish Culinary Week Aleksander Baron will organize a barbecue, Agata Wojda will be in charge of the Ha’namal restaurant’s cuisine, Adoni Meir will cook Polish food, and in Colony hotel there will be held a real Polish Christmas Eve supper. Apart from that, during the festival there will be held lectures, literary evenings, suppers and parties on which, according to organizers, both the herring, and vodka will be present.
