PERSIAN SEASONAL SHOPPING PROJECT

In short, about the Iran’s cuisine you can say that it’s rich, sunny and full of interesting flavors and colors. It sounds very general, but saffron basmati rice (glutenfree), rose water, pomegranates, melons, pistachios, pickled garlic – better inspire our imagination. With Shirin we will visit our and her beloved Hala Mirowska, check from which sellers we can get the ingredients needed in Persian cuisine. We will find out how markets in Iran look like, then we will do shopping in an Iranian store, in which our Special Guest often can be found. We will ask how the best saffron should look like and try other interesting Iranian tastes. In the second part of the Seasonal Shopping Project Shirin will prepare Persian dishes using seasonal ingredients, available now in Poland and will talk about the secrets of the Iranian cuisine, New Year (Nowruz), shopping, magical ingredients and favorite products, which she misses and which she can’t get in Poland.

Iranian Saturday menu:

- Iranian drink

– adas polow a traditional dish with basmati rice

–  ash reshteh Iranian New Year’s soup, which brings good luck

- Persian saffron ice cream for dessert

That far we have never been with the Seasonal Shopping Project. Enjoy!
