Love is coming

This is the third edition in the series “Ilustratorzy” (“Illustrators”), which presents a wave of young Polish artists: designers, graphic designers, illustrators. The work of Anna Czarnota are usually cycles, which main topic is research on your own / someone else’s identity and playing with its potential. “Rich Bitch” from the series “Love Is Coming” is another incarnation of the artist’s alter-ego, a new identity or role to play – says Anna Czarnota, who adapts like a chameleon her appearance and personality to the circumstances. “(…) Series’ heroine – Rich Bitch – a mask, annoyingly-egocentric projection, a phantasm, a kind of game with her own identity. Balloon, in which one blows, to just for a moment, but with great satisfaction, be able to fly away.
Successful female figure, Beautiful-Rich-Conscious of her attractiveness, who “doesn’t have to do anything, can do everything, does what she wants.” It is also an affirmation of Love and Freedom – Luxury safe as a bank, to which the heroine has unrestricted access.
“Love is coming,” is like an implementation of disinterested cosmic love and satisfaction that has to come soon, it’s an announcement of, it seems, temporarily deserved comfort. It might be, that Rich Bitch is also a figure of death and the deserved comfort is simply death.
Compulsive-obsessive work is an attempt to create the perfect superhero. In the quest for ever more perfect version of a given theme. It often turns out that the ideal version is not the best, that a small mistake makes it interesting. Rich Bitch on paper ceases to be a self-portrait, and becomes an independent representation having a chance for an eternal life. ”
